Szilvia Fehérvári, attorney-at-law and mediator, primarily focuses on employment, corporate and commercial law, as well as energy law matters and is legal advisor of Hungarian subsidiaries of several international companies. Szilvia is member representative of the Legal and Regulatory Committee of the Hungarian Energy Traders’ Association (HETA). Her experience covers conducting due diligence reviews related to company acquisitions, establishing companies, performing corporate restructuring, company dissolution, as well as advising on mergers and acquisitions. Szilvia’s experience in the area of employment law includes equal treatment and GDPR compliance matters, general and executive employment contracts, employment of foreigners in Hungary, , internal company policies, advising on systems protecting whistleblowers and anti-corruption policies, collective bargaining agreements, procedures in connection with the election of European workers’ councils and Special Negotiation Bodies, issues in connection with temporary employment and outsourcing and the related registration procedures, termination agreements and termination notices, as well as consultation and representation in connection with labor and data protection inspections. She also advises on the relocation of executives and pre- and post-merger processes, including the effects of employment law succession and collective redundancies. She has considerable experience in employment law mediation, and labor and general commercial litigation. She was admitted to the Budapest Bar in 1998.

Recent Experience:

  • Cooperating in the acquisition of holding in small power stations and electricity producing companies as licensees, starting from their due diligence investigation until their authority approval procedure;
  • Day-to-day employment law, corporate, commercial and energy law consultancy and advisory services for an international energy trading company and its Hungarian subsidiary, elaborating a system of contracts relating to their activities and their representation before HETA;
  • Regular labor law consultancy for the Hungarian subsidiary of an Italian fashion retail network;
  • Day-to-day data protection, employment law, corporate and commercial law consultancy and advisory services for the Hungarian subsidiary of a German agricultural manufacturing company;
  • Ongoing labor law consultancy for the Hungarian subsidiaries of an international clinic research company, a book-keeping and payroll company, an IT service company as well as an international package delivery and logistics service provider;
  • Regular commercial, advertising and corporate law advisory services for the Hungarian subsidiary of a US-based multibrand company;
  • Ongoing legal consultancy for wholesale, telecommunications/electronic parts manufacturing and logistic companies and implementing contractual structures in connection with their business activities (e.g. sale and purchase and distribution agreements, framework agreements, supply and contractor’s agreements, rental agreements etc.), as well as drafting general terms and conditions. Legal cooperation in the set-up of distribution networks;
  • Cooperating in establishing the European Works Council of an international company group dealing with telecommunications/electronic parts manufacturing;
  • Conducting employment law related due diligence reviews relating to company acquisitions and/or compliance procedures, preparing DD reports in respect of various companies;
  • Representation of creditors in bankruptcy and liquidation proceedings, representation of buyers in public tenders for sale;
